Survive The Holidays
Holidays can be a stressful time. More so when there is extra tasks and responsibilities in our lists of to do! To make your holidays a happy and successful one, I posted a FB Live Video Podcast to further explain what are my 5 Tips To Survive The Holidays!
1. Design a Morning Ritual
Gifting your self time will set you up to perform at your highest level. My morning ritual is my own to customize and change. I like to wake up 2 hours before work and within those two hours I repeat the same routine, this is my proven system to always start my day amazing! I recently wrote a blog on how to design your monring ritual Check it out! By setting yourself up to be at your highest perfomance level will easily make you ready for any responsibility or task you may have in your day to day! Desgining a morning ritual will help combat those big tasks in your day!
2. Find Quick Recipes
One thing about the holidays is being low on time. We are constantly on the go for the next task or responsibility. Eating healthy may be daunting, by finding a quick easy to make healthy recipe will help those on-the-go moments! Finding a quick recipe will also save you money by not buying an $8 fast food meal. By saving you money this in return will easily assist your budget to buy those gifts for your loved ones!
3. Get Moving
We may be traveling through out the holidays and we might miss out in the gym. I personally cant go a day without working out but I know I can go a day without being in the gym. I do this by finding the right home workout. If you do have time to workout at the gym through the holidays than keep it up! If you seem to be short on time in the gym/day than try finding workouts that target more than one body part in a single exercise. One great full body workout is boxing, circuit drills, and supersets! I also suggest Core DE Force which is a home workout program that I do when I cant get into the gym or need a quick fix before my day starts!
Working out consistently will give you strength both mentally and physically. A fit mind will help you carry out a task because if you can handle a mentally gruesome workout than handling a time sensitive task becomes a piece of cake! Working out will builds more strength physically and therefore taking on any other task will be less physically demanding. Setting yourself up in this way will give you more confidence when last minute responsibilities pop up!
4. Plan out your time
Planning out your day is one my favorite things to do! It forces me to set out and accomplish my plan for that day/week! This organizes my routine so I can save time to let those last minute opportunities to pop up and be scheduled accordingly. Through out the holiday season this is very important to do! Planning out time is the best option to help me stay on top of my holiday plans! Planning out your meals, workouts, to-do's, and events will help you stay on track to complete what is most or least important for you. Try making S.M.A.R.T Goals Specific: goals that are specific and clear Measurable: Goals that are trackable by a number "Lose 10lbs, make $1,000 income a month, 5 workouts a week." Attainable: Easily acheivable goal Realistic: Goals that are realistic to you to take on. Timely: Time based goals weekly, monthly, daily
S - specific, significant, stretching
M - measurable, meaningful, motivational
A - agreed upon, attainable, achievable, acceptable, action-oriented
R - realistic, relevant, reasonable, rewarding, results-oriented
T - time-based, time-bound, timely, tangible, trackable
Specific goals must be measurable to be easily attainable in a realistic way all within a timely manner!
5. Keep yourself accountable
Your to do list should not be written as a normal to-do list. When I schedule tasks for the day I make sure I write out 3 meaningful reasons why I like to complete that one outcome. I than make sure to relate my daily goal with my monthly goal. The goals I like to achieve must be measurable. Here is an example on a monthly goal that I always set out to do. I track my monthly to-do's with a measurable number so I can track it down throughout out the month or week so I can keep myself accountable if I am below my progress. No matter what I choose to focus it will always go towards the bigger result that I previously set out to do for the month!
Result: I will easily become fit and healthy for my comeback fight!
Purpose: 3 reasons for that goal
1. I love being Healthy and fit because it is my happiness
2. Being unhealthy & unfit wont make me stronger in my comeback fight
3. I massively have more energy and power when I am healthy & fit
Example of Daily Goal
December 11, 2016

1. Be more fit today than yesterday
2. Helps my health for a my future well being
3. Keeps me on track for my bigger dream
